Fast Food Nation Chapter 2 Question
They marketed to children by all different types of media and even went as far as offering a free toy with the kids meal. They also started to include playgrounds in the restaurants. When they have all that stuff the kids are more attracted to those things so they want to eat there. Then the company started to compete with bozo the clown by creating their own character, Ronald McDonald. They started making other characters too like the hamburgerlar and more. I think they targeted children because they are more gullable and give in easily to bribes like the free toys.
